Congratulations on your purchase of a Telecore product! Follow the tips below to care for it, keep it clean and shiny, and looking and performing like new for years to come.
Before you clean your Telecore product, turn the power OFF. If the product doesn't have an on/off switch, disconnect it from the power source.
Cleaning the touchscreen |
Clean with a dry microfiber lens cloth. 3M (or equivalent) manufactures a cloth that can be found at Amazon.com. Wipe the screen gently to avoid damaging the surface. Do not use any cleaner on the touchscreen as this can damage the screen.
For tough grime, wipe the screen gently with a dampened microfiber lens cloth and then wipe with a dry microfiber lens cloth. Be sure the cloth is only damp, since any liquid penetration into the interior of the product can damage the electronics. |
Cleaning handsets, phone plastics, cradle plastics and elastomer parts |
Clean using a microfiber cloth dampened with water or Simple Green® cleaner. The Simple Green® cleaner should be mixed to the Medium Everyday Strength solution (to make 1 cup, mix two tablespoons of Simple Green® and fill with water; to make 1 pint, mix ¼ cup of Simple Green® and fill with water; to make 1 gallon, mix 2 cups of Simple Green® and fill with water). Click here to see a mixing guide. Be sure the cloth is only damp, since any cleaner or any liquid penetration into the interior of the product can damage the electronics. Do not allow the cleaner to contact the touchscreen, as this may damage the surface. To bring out additional luster after cleaning the plastic and elastomer parts wipe using a microfiber cloth dampened with Pledge® furniture polish. Again, be sure the cloth is only damp; any polish or any liquid penetration into the interior of the product can damage the electronics. Also do not allow the polish to contact the touchscreen as this may damage the surface. |
Cleaning products with fans, air intake and air exhaust screens |
To keep proper air flow in any Telecore product that has fan(s), air intake and air exhaust screens, blow out these openings and items annually with compressed air. After blowing out with compressed air, inspect fan(s), air intake and air exhaust screens to make sure no dust debris remains. Continue to blow out openings and items until items are free of dust. |
